Queenside is a chess app made by JLUD Designs, LLC: play against human-like engines, record over-the-board games with your camera, and take live voice lessons with an AI coach. Using Queenside means agreeing to these terms.
You need an account for anything that syncs or costs money. Keep your email accurate and your sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Playing, recording games, and analysis are free, and ten of the characters are open to everyone. Live coaching comes with a one-time free sample of 10 minutes per account. The sample does not renew.
Queenside Club costs $14.99 per month and includes 120 minutes of live coaching each billing month, with sessions up to 20 minutes. It also unlocks the full cast of characters. Unused minutes do not roll over. The subscription renews automatically each month through Stripe until you cancel.
Cancel anytime from Manage membership. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your membership and remaining minutes keep working until the end of the period you already paid for. If the price ever changes, existing members get at least 30 days of notice first.
If something went wrong, a double charge, a broken session, a subscription you meant to cancel, email us within 14 days and we will make it right, including a refund where that is the fair answer. Beyond that, fees already paid are not refunded, and access simply runs to the end of the paid period.
Do not abuse the service: no reselling access, no sharing one account across a chess club, no scraping, no attacking or overloading our systems, and no using the coach to generate content that breaks the law. We rate-limit free usage and may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Coaching, board reading, and analysis are produced by AI systems. They are good, and they are sometimes wrong. Queenside is for training and enjoyment; nothing in it is professional advice, and we do not guarantee any rating result.
Your games and notes are yours. The app, its design, and its content are ours. Do not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the service.
Queenside is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using Queenside or delete your account anytime. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the state where JLUD Designs, LLC is registered.
